I’ve been quiet for the past three weeks for various – mostly good – reasons. The Professional Certificate program ended, and there was a fair amount of work involved with that. Then I had three new staff members start work, which meant training them, which meant first remembering how to do stuff myself. There was a grand opening for the Historical Processes Lab and Book Arts Studio to prepare for (which meant actually getting the Historical Processes lab to be functional).
Then, finally, there have been a few days of intensely making some of my own work, finally. More on much of all this in separate posts. For now, here are some recent portraits of Andrew (profile shot) and Chris (massive beard), both summer staff members at the Maine Media Workshops+College.
I had to test out making tintypes in the New Haas Lab (which is not trivial, it turns out), so what better way than making some portraits?
